Nostalgic credits

Get Lamp is a hilarious documentary with a hilarious soundtrack. That is free to download. It can be found on bandcamp. The composer is Zoë Blade from the United Kingdoms. My favorite is the last track, that is also the credits track from the documentary.

Together with the insanly nostalgic view of the documentary on the golden era of interactive fiction and adventure games, it will, for me, be forever bound to a doleful and lugubrious mood (by contrast to the intention of the composer, I know) – to a time, where computer games had a complete different perspective, ideas and ideology. Where you really sold stories, characters and worlds. Not engines, graphics or the 72th remake of a soccer game. And beautiful boxart. Hach, my childhood days! Here is the track:

  1. Thank you for your kind words! I like all interpretations. It makes me feel nostalgic too, so that’s certainly valid. Cerebral and calm for thinking games, and wistful that their era has passed. There used to be such a sense of wonder, of exploring alien worlds, that I tried to capture.
