Cozy Days

Ira has launched a Kickstarter campaign for her first printed art book and it looks amazing. I highly encourage you to pick a perk, too.

Ira has a special place in my heart. We share the love for the same adventure games and cheesy interactive movies from the 90ies and we discussed a lot about this, first via e-mail during my studies, and later even in person. I saw some of the best movies in cinema with Ira, from Satoshi Kon’s amazing Paprika to Hitoshi Matsumoto’s hilarious Symbol, where Ira entertained the whole crowd by hysterically laughing at approximately 100 baby penises. She was a great companion for us when we visited gamescom with the Adventure-Treff crew and when I decided to move to Munich, she was pretty much the first person I met and she always encouraged me to do it.

She’s a wonderful person and it shows in her wonderful art. I remember when she was still very uncertain if she should really go public with her art and how she was not able to talk in English (and I think, that time, I probably encouraged her a little bit to do it, too). When she finally switched, it was like a bombshell and her fans around the world prove her decision more than enough. When the Kickstarter launched, it pretty much filled the goal of 20.000 Pounds within hours. Even though this means, it’s much harder to run across Ira in Munich than it used to be, I feel so happy for her and her art to have found her place and be successful.

So, if you want to invest your money in a nice person, beautiful drawings and cozy days, check it out!
