Disneyland Paris accused of price geo-blocking policies

IMG_2645.JPGFinally someone found out that Disneyland Paris had completely different price strategies for different countries and when you ordered as a German, you often paid double the price as the French.

„Customers are not subject to so-called geo-blocking, where promotions are closed to those people whose computers are located in a certain country, the spokesman said.“ – is just a lie (well, nearly: You can circumvent it, if you know how to – but it’s very tricky).

I once throw a birthday party for 30 people at Buffallo Bill’s and the only reason I was able to afford that is because I faked that all of us were actually living in Paris.

And the only reason I was able to buy the cheap Francilien Passport is because I wrote them a letter! If visiting online and ordering via the international website, you can’t even order the passport and when switching to the Ile-de-France-Website you can’t order it if not living in Paris. The same with day-tickets, that are often double priced on all websites except the French ones…
