The Asylum<\/a> muss man entweder lieben oder hassen. Das ist ein Filmstudio, dass sich auf billig Rip-Off Kopien bekannter Blockbuster spezialisiert hat: Man nimmt einen bekannten Multi-Millionen-Dollar Film, dreht die Geschichte mit Kleinsbudget billig nach, und bringt ihn nahezu gleichzeitig mit dem Filmrelease als DVD in den Einzelhandel. Aus einem „Pirates of the Carribean“ wird dann ein „Pirates of Treasure Island“, statt „Snakes on a Plane“ hat Asylum ein „Sankes on a Train“ in den Handel gebracht und „Transformers“ hei\u00dft bei Asylum einfach nur „Transmorphers“. Himmel, Asylum hat sogar ein Indy IV Rip-Off produziert mit dem Namen „Allan Quatermain and the Tempel of Skulls“.<\/p>\n

Nat\u00fcrlich sind dabei nicht nur die Film an das Original angelehnt, auch das Cover sieht zum Verwechseln \u00e4hnlich aus. Das gef\u00e4llt nat\u00fcrlich nicht Allen: Fox hatte vor einiger Zeit gegen den Film „The Day the Earth Stopped“, eine billige Kopie von „The Day the Earth stood still“, geklagt. Aktuell bringt Asylum den Film „Titanic 2“ in die Kinos, die inoffizielle Fortsetzung von James Camerons Epos:<\/p>\n
