A lot of people do. The trail is more advanced and needs already some experience and a good equipment. The trip is exhausting at times, which probably gave the mountain the name. „Schinden“ means „Grinding“ or „Hazing“.

What I particularly like about this trail is the immediate loneliness you achieve after you crossed the last huts (0:25). You don’t see or hear streets, buildings or anything else about civilization. The only thing in your line of sight is massive stone. It’s rather uncommon to be away from anything so close to a large city like Munich so quickly, thanks to the lovely Valley of the „Valepp“, which is closed for most traffic. 2:45 gives a good impression how lonely views are getting after half-way up the mountain.

Furthermore, there are some nice yet unproblematic climbing passages in rough stone (3:10) which is rather uncommon in this area. All the sweat is paid of with amazing views over the lonely Valepp area at the top (7:50). The way back drags on quite some time (10:30) and makes you realize, how many metres you’ve crossed in steep terrain beforehand. The lodge at 11:15 sometimes sells water or milk which I think is the only way of getting something in a large part of this area if you ran out water. But never bet on it.

Anyway, surreal to have been away and back (12:55) from anything in such a short amount of time.

In celebration of the relaunch of GipfelReisen.de I will post seven of my most favorite hiking videos for the coming…

[2,15

post-33678","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-artikel","category-privates
["GET
