I find the syntax of Wikis quite user-unfriendly, too.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I&#8217;ve started to <a href=\"http:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/Special:ListFiles\/Basti007\">upload some photos<\/a> at Wikimedia Commons instead. For those, who don&#8217;t know: &#8222;Wikimedia Commons (or simply Commons) is an online repository of free-use images, sound and other media files. It is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation.&#8220; And you can find more information <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wikimedia_Commons\">about it on Wikipedia<\/a>. Nearly all of my photos I license under cc-by, which practically means, you can do whatever you like with them as long as you give credit.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m glad some photos already made their way into the Wikipedia, for example in articles about the <a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Schachensee\">Schachensee Lake<\/a>. director <a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ulrich_Bassenge\">Ulrich Bassenge<\/a> or some <a href=\"http:\/\/sr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/\u0420\u0430\u0458\u0448\u0430\u0445\">parts of my home town<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve planned to start working at Wikipedia for quite some time, but I rarely found enough muse to contribute.
