A slow mixture between apocalyptic road movie and Vampire\/Zombie flick. It doesn&#8217;t care about any common dramaturgy or storyline. It&#8217;s straight simple, yet beautiful shot, greatly acted and impressively scored. It&#8217;s atmosphere is tense and at its core-subtext, it&#8217;s about being human and about growing up &#8211; and it doesn&#8217;t want to be anything more than that.<\/p>\n<p>True, it&#8217;s nothing you haven&#8217;t probably seen before. But if you let yourself go, then its desperate mood and great composition makes it an immersive movie experience that despite (or better: because) it&#8217;s straightness works out perfectly.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re in postapocalyptic or Zombie-flicks (there is really not much vamprism in there) and have a faible for more silent movies that can speak without many words, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.de\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/B0057JWXQS\/coaster09\">give it a try<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just watched Stake Land (or Vampire Nation, as it&#8217;s called incongruously in Germany).
