{"id":15865,"date":"2011-06-24T19:30:41","date_gmt":"2011-06-24T17:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.coaster.de\/wp\/?p=15865"},"modified":"2011-06-24T19:30:41","modified_gmt":"2011-06-24T17:30:41","slug":"space-fantasy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gruen-wald.de\/wordpress\/erlebniswelten\/space-fantasy\/","title":{"rendered":"Space Fantasy &#8211; Spinning-Darkride"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Space Mountain go home!<\/p>\n<p>Space Fantasy in Universal Studios Japan is coming pretty close to what I&#8217;ve always demanded from a real theme park attraction: It&#8217;s (german-made) roller coaster, combined with spinning, combined with dark-ride-effects, combined with great onride-soundtrack, combined with interactivity, combined with great characters, combined with a layout that follows the story rather than the latest ride-records and above all a very well balanced dramaturgy with a whole lot of immersion. Probably, we&#8217;re closer to the day, where the ingredients of amusement attractions are combined to unique dramaturgy and emotions, than I thought of.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, it&#8217;s Universal. And it&#8217;s Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/e1ucVkrC6t8&amp;hd=1\">Video<\/a> from the climax of the whole experience (that is much larger than just this &#8222;mission&#8220; in the video). The reason why the guy is holding the hand before the lens, is because it&#8217;s strictly forbidden to make video captures during the ride. The guy tried it anyway so we have a small glimpse of what Space Fantasy looks like &#8211; even if it&#8217;s a little blurry and fast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"550\" height=\"343\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/e1ucVkrC6t8\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Space Mountain go home!
