Today, I decided to offer myself a present of what I feel I have to little at the moment: Time for myself, thoughts and beautiful nature. Therefor, I packed my stuff in a rucksack, put it on a\u00a0 sledge and drove with it in a preserve area. Took a rather easy tour up to the Rotwand in the Mangfall Hills.<\/p>\n

It was rather warm, but the snow was still drivable, thanks to the fast sledge track and the wood, that kept the snow cold.<\/p>\n

I was geocaching with the help of my mobile GPS. The cache itself was hidden in the Rotwand itself, visible on the right picture (now you know, why it’s called that way, don’t you?), a little more to the right. It was close to the goal when I realized, relaxing below one of these rocks, I wouldn’t be able to catch the cache without better equipment – that is, any equipment at all (besides a sledge). The track was to steep and cliffy, the snow to deep and fragile and there was a small storm coming up. It was funny anyway and when it’s summer, I will make good for the log entry.<\/p>\n

Once reaching the Rotwandhaus, you’re presented with a great panorama over the Alps.<\/p>\n

Would still prefer Geiglstein over Rotwand for the moment, but the sledge track afterwards was big fun and easier to ride then the last one<\/a>. And last not least, some video impressions:<\/p>\n
